THE GOAL OF RECLAIMING AMERICA FOR CHRIST
The King of England willfully placed himself above the law as he unilaterally broke the Charters that were in place between the Colonies and Great Britain. As the Colonists sought to print Bibles and tracts for the Indians, the King said no. As Pennsylvania voted to outlaw slavery, the king said no. The king rejected the authority of elected offices in America and placed his own handpicked governors over the colonists. Finally, the rumors of a plan to “establish” the Church of England over the colonies and outlaw other religious denominations were one of the last straws. The king placed troops in America even though there was no conflict with the Indians or France — the effort was clearly to subjugate the Colonists.
As the King tightened his grip stripping liberty from the Colonists, the Colonists themselves were uniting as a result of the Great Awakening. Rather than 13 very divided entities, they became ONE nation under God. It was the Patriot Pastors that were the backbone; the Black Regiment, as the British called those men that ascended to their pulpits in their black clerical robes and stirred the people’s hearts to liberty from tyranny. “We’ll have no King but Jesus!” was the cry and after a long train of usurpations of the law had continued and requests for relief gone unanswered, the Colonies finally were forced to declare their independence.
Not only was it the influence of the Pulpit that led to the birth of this Great Nation, but it has been the pulpit that has led in the fight against every social ill in America whether that be slavery, discrimination, suffrage, liquor, abortion, etc.
Reclaiming America for Christ is not a club to join. There is no membership list and there are no dues paying members.
Reclaiming America for Christ is simply a coordinated effort to help pastors work together in Reclaiming their own respective states and reestablishing the Biblical principles and the Biblical morality that America was founded upon. We hope to:
1. Be a source of information to pastors who wish to Reclaim their own states for Jesus Christ.
2. Be able to assist pastors with suggestions of what has and hasn’t worked in various states around the nation.
3. Be a source of communication between pastors in various states. We hope that our web site can help to serve as a link between pastors in different states to become aware of, communicate with and encourage one another.
God has called us to be Watchmen on the Wall. We are to encourage and comfort when all is well and to cry out when danger approaches. We are to evangelize the lost with the saving Gospel of Jesus Christ and to stand against the spread of wickedness in our culture. We are to be Salt and Light.
We have confused the terms “serving the Lord” with “going to church.” The typical Christian attends Sunday service and says, “There, I’ve served the Lord.” Not so!! Church is for the Body of Christ. We attend church for fellowship, encouragement, accountability and Bible preaching and teaching. We are to be “fully equipped” at church in order to GO OUT and serve the Lord.
From Enoch to Noah; Moses to Samuel; Elijah to Nathan, Isaiah to Daniel; John the Baptist to Paul; from Jonathon Edwards to George Whitefield; John Peter Gabriel Muhlenberg to John Witherspoon; from Charles Finney to Dwight Moody to Billy Sunday – prophets and preachers of God have preached faithfully the Gospel of Jesus Christ and stood firmly for righteousness on this earth, to the common man and also to the king.
Fundamental, evangelical preachers nearly all agree that God established three great institutions on earth – the family, human government and the church. We know and preach that the family must be built on the Rock of Jesus Christ. We know and preach that the Church must be built on the Rock of Jesus Christ. So too, government was designed by God to be subject to and built on the Rock of Jesus Christ.
This Nation was founded upon those principles. Read carefully the words of the Declaration of Independence:
“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men…”
The purpose of government was to secure man’s God given rights. Truly, “When the righteous are in authority the people rejoice (Proverbs 29:2)” and “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord (Psalm 33:12)!”
Pastors and Christians let us all stand our watches in our own neighborhoods, communities, cities and states to Reclaim America for Christ!!
