Yes, I am an Ideologue if you mean Biblical Values and Constitutional Liberty

The Oklahoman published an opinion piece last Sunday (Feb. 6) from Democratic Senator Andrew Rice.  Senator Rice was kind enough to advise the Republicans now in control of the Oklahoma Capitol that the people of Oklahoma wanted them to become moderate in their views (translation: compromise moral values).  It is amazing that when Liberals are in control, Conservatives are told to “get in the back of the bus,” but when Republicans are in control we are supposed to compromise and become more like the liberals.  National Republicans tried that during the latter part of their twelve years of power in Washington.  The 2006 elections were the result.
In addition to the Rice editorial, the Oklahoman published an opinion piece Monday written by its own staff attempting to insult pro-family, pro-life, pro-Constitution citizens by labeling us as “ideologues” and vowed that they (the Oklahoman’s editorial staff) were “keeping score” on these “ideologue” bills.  What are some of the bills that they consider the work of frivolous ideologues? 

• Pro-life Legislation – The Oklahoman even called them “reproductive rights” bills.  What about the baby’s right to life? No one has a right to do wrong and taking an innocent human life is murder.
• Academic Freedom Legislation – Quit teaching evolution as proven science, which it isn’t.  Either God is God or Darwin is.
• Second Amendment Issues – That’s not important.  It’s just the second most important issue to our founders as listed in the Bill of Rights, but what did they know?
• Immigration reform – Who needs a nation of laws, anyway?

Both editorials demonstrate an ignorance of American law and the will of our Founding Fathers.  All valid law must fit two criteria. 

•  First, there can be no law contrary to God’s law (the Laws of Nature and Nature’s God).  Signer of the Constitution Alexander Hamilton said, “The law…dictated by God Himself is, of course, superior in obligation to any other…No human laws are of any validity if contrary to this.” 
  
• Second, no law can be contrary to the Constitution.  Federalist Paper #78 stated, “No legislative act, therefore, contrary to the Constitution, can be valid.”

We keep hearing about “middle-ground” and “compromise.”   Baloney!!   All laws are either “Godly or ungodly” and all laws are either “Constitutional or unconstitutional”.  It is by THOSE TWO STANDARDS that we “ideologues” expect our government to operate.
